humans of notre dame

ISO 1600   f/10   1/1250sec 1. What question did you ask your model, and how does their response add to the photograph?  I asked the model "When are you happiest?". Her response was that it was when she was playing volleyball. I added this into the photo because she is smiling and looks very happy. Also, her hair is covering up her Notre Dame volleyball jacket which was supposed to connect it further.  2. What do you like best about this photo? I like the lighting of this photo because the light goes through the trees and illuminates her faces and not a lot of the rest of the photo which makes her face the obvious focus point.  3. What would you do differently if you did it again?/What would make it better? If I did this photo again I would make sure that her hair was not covering the Notre Dame volleyball logo so that it would be more obvious the connection of her smiling to her love for volleyball. From looking at the critiques that people wrote about my photo and what I observed after, I liked how my photo turned out and I would not change much. The HDR style isn't what I would normally chose to photograph, but through this assignment it helped me gain an appreciation for this type of art. I personally like photos to look more lifelike and HDR's are supposed to look highly contrasted and detailed, so I liked how I took my version of that. I liked how the lighting was natural and in good daylight and that the photo was taken literally during real life. The only thing in post I would change would be cropping.
