HARD LIGHTING SOFT LIGHTING What differences did you see between photo 1 and photo 2? How did the white paper affect the light? In photo one you see more texture, a brighter image, and more defined shadows. The second photo was very dark, had little to no shadows, and you could not see any texture. How does the size of light source affect the quality? The bigger the light source, the softer and lower quality the light is. That was when the paper was covering the flashlight. The smaller the light source, the harder and higher quality the subject is. This was when the flashlight was directly on it.

BEFORE ISO 2000   f/6.3   1/100 sec AFTER How did you match the scene from the magazine to the scene you photographed? Did you control the light, composition, etc? The photo was a picture of me when I was younger in my bathtub that my mom took. I was able to match it up to the scene because the bathtub is the same as it was in the picture and I made sure to match it up with the tub in the original. In this bathroom there is a very small window that I opened to try to make the lighting more natural, but it didn't do much.  What do you like best about the photo? My favorite part of the photo was the photo I chose for the assignment. I also liked how much it lined up in the front of the photo. I also like the exposure of this photo in comparison to my others. I like how I tried to make the photo seem more white and brighter than others that were dark. What would you differently if you did it again?/What would make it better? If I could do this ...
