The first object I chose was two of my journals of pediatrics (with my suturing supplies) which represents the part of me that loves medicine because I want to be a doctor when I'm older and to me working on my suturing techniques and reading medical journals such as these help me feel like I'm getting closer to my goals. I have a pumpkin toy because Halloween is my favorite holiday. I have a pair of Disney ears because I love Disneyland. I have candy in the photo because candy is great. The compositional elements I choose for this photograph were rule of thirds and leading lines. The subject of the photo, my friend Caroline, is in rule of thirds and the Golden Gate Bridge has leading lines that lead up to her. This adds to the meaning of the photograph because she is highlighted. 2. Do you think you were successful in translating your thoughts into a visual form? What aspects of the photograph lead you to the conclusion? I don't think I was successful in translating my thoughts into visual form. Because while there is good composition, I believe the photograph doesn't really tell much of a story. The main reason why the photograph didn't turn out how I intended was the Caroline wasn't in focus. The camera put the bridge and the background of the photo...
